Alam Cooking Class
Alam Bali Cooking Class offers you some of the beautiful view of the island, traditional Balinese Villages and fascinating insight into Balinese life, beliefs and culture through learning about its food, cooking and culinary myths.
The cooking class discussion is relaxed and friendly and is held five times a week in the lush tropical setting of the family compound of you host. The chef and restaurant include specific references to the role of food in Balinese society, its ceremonial use, and religious importance.
Participant learns about the exotic herb and species used in ceremonial and everyday Balinese dishes and is encouraged to actively help prepare the lavish Balinese feast that will then be enjoyed with a glass or two of the local rice wine, or homemade hibiscus tea. Recipes are provoked in each class and people f ages and background can enjoy the classes.
